Lauretta’s Italian Bake Shop in Grayslake is an authentic Italian bakery offering delicious, home-made meals. Serving lunch and Dinner Family owned and operated, Lauretta’s offers genuine recipes that have been passed down through the generations. Using only locally sourced products and produce, every dish is fresh and made to order for you. Our big, beautiful pastry case is full with freshly made cannoli’s, desserts and pastries to ease your sweet tooth. If you’re looking for good eats, our lunch and dinner menu is diverse from Panini’s to our popular Linguini & Vongole.

Chianti by the glass was available. soup and salad starters were fine (salad dressing was unusual, a banana/poppy blend). I enjoyed my spaghetti with seafood (shrimp, mussels, clams) with marinara sauce — pasta was properly cooked al dents, sauce was savory, seafood was tasty. My wife had the tortellacci stuffed pasta in cream sauce — not overly rich, blended well with cheese stuffing. For dessert we split a tiramisu, very nice. And we selected some Italian cookies from the glass case to take home — the chocolate covered biscotti were excellent. Definitely will be coming back.

Love,love,love it when a restaurant beats my expectations! I must also add, that when a restaurant is rated as highly as Lauretta’s, those expectations are rarely beat. Service was friendly... read more and paced nicely. Well prepared, perfectly seasoned foods with that “homemade “ taste. The bakery items are the finest I’ve had in the area. My wife and I were blown away. Don’t let the strip mall location and the sliver of a store front fool you into passing this gem by. Enjoy.
